The deadline for the public review of the Abaco Marine Parks Management Plan is October 16th, 2017).

The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) in collaboration with Friends of the Environment, have been closely working with local stakeholders and partners for the development of a management plan for the Abaco Marine Parks. The management plan covers four (4) marine parks, under the mandate of the Bahamas National Trust; Pelican Cays Land & Sea Park, Fowl Cays National Park, Black Sound Cay National Reserve, and Walker’s Cay National Park. As part of the project entitled “Increase Effective Management of Protected Areas within the Bahamas MPA Network”, funded through The Nature Conservancy from the China Global Conservation Fund, the BNT is releasing this final draft of the management plan for public review and comments.

Park Admission Fees Update


We've made a change to how you access and explore our national parks.

Effective July 1, 2026, park entrance fees will be updated across all national parks. New rates will be $15 for adults, $8 for children, and $10 for seniors, with free access continuing for BNT Members.

New annual and multi-park pass options will also be introduced.
