A PROGRESSIVE, BADGE-BASED PROGRAM FOR KIDS AGES 7-18
- 25 Kids per club
- 20 Weeks of environmental education
- 2 Dedicated volunteer teachers
WHO WE ARE
Started in 1995, the Discovery Club Program has evolved from weekend field trips for small groups, to a network of over 50 clubs that engage 1,300 young people between the ages of 5 and 18. Operating on 9 islands, the program is dedicated to inspiring and educating young Bahamians to become knowledgeable environmental stewards through fun, conservation-based classroom lessons, hands on activities and field trips.

Symposium
Creating the caretakers of tomorrow
Every summer, teachers from all over The Bahamas gather for a symposium held for Discovery Club leaders. For the entire week, teachers are immersed in activities, lectures and field trips that simulate the Discovery Club experience.
- Network with fellow Discovery Club leaders
- Learn to lead environmental lessons and discussions
- Kayak + snorkel + bird watch
- Overnight camping with storytelling around the campfire
- All lodging + travel + food expenses paid for by the BNT
- Mandatory for explorer/guardian/navigator club leaders joining the following academic year
