The Bahamas National Trust held its Annual General Meeting and Spring Council April 27 -29 to elect the Council and Officers for the year and discuss the business of the BNT.
by The Bahamas National Trust is looking for TWO (2) college or university students majoring in Biology, Environmental Science, or related fields. During this internship, selected individuals will be given a chance to experience various aspects of working in the area of natural sciences in The Bahamas.
The Project will be hiring two full-time field technicians for the upcoming field season. One position will begin in early April and the other in early May, and both will conclude in mid-July.

A new species of insect has been discovered at the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve in Governor’s Harbour, The Bahamas National Trust’s (BNT) first national park on Eleuthera. The insect is a katydid and belongs to the same group as grasshoppers and crickets in the order Orthoptera.
