About San Salvador Parks
The San Salvador National Parks system protects some of the most important landscapes in The Bahamas, from coastal habitats and wetlands to inland blue holes.
Across five parks, Graham’s Harbour Conception, Pigeon Creek and Snow Bay, Northwest Point, Southern Great Lake, and Watling’s Blue Hole, these areas support seabird nesting sites, marine nurseries, and ecosystems found nowhere else.
Funds raised through Pig Roast 2026 will support priority efforts under a two-year co-management plan, strengthening on-the-ground presence, improving site management, and long-term protection.
This work is essential to maintaining the health and resilience of San Salvador’s natural environment and securing its legacy for generations to come.
Your support starts with a ticket. Secure yours before they’re gone.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE PIG ROAST EVENT
From its inception, the Pig Roast has brought together supporters of the Bahamas National Trust to raise vital funds that drive our mission forward. These contributions have supported scientific research, strengthened park infrastructure, and created opportunities for youth engagement in conservation.
Inspired by the tradition of family and community gatherings in Cuba, the spirit of Pig Roast reflects what we can achieve when we come together in support of our natural environment.
The event was founded by Mr. Manuel Cutillas, former Chairman of Bacardi Limited, BNT Conservation Legend, and longtime supporter. Today, it continues as a celebration of our conservation community.

PIG ROAST 2025
Pig Roast 2025 was held in support of the Welcome Centre at Bonefish Pond National Park. The sold-out event brought together Corporate Bahamas and friends of the Trust, raising nearly $100,000 to enhance park operations and the visitor experience.

PIG ROAST 2024
Pig Roast 2024 welcomed a record crowd for an evening of food, music, and community in support of Seahorse National Park. With the support of sponsors and attendees, the event raised over $100,000 for conservation efforts.

PIG ROAST 2023
Pig Roast 2023 highlighted Moriah Harbour Cay National Park. Attendees and patrons contributed $150,000 toward a Welcome Centre and park headquarters. The facility improves access, education, and visitor engagement, while serving as a base for BNT operations on Great Exuma.

PIG ROAST 2022
After a two-year COVID-19 hiatus, Pig Roast 2022 returned strong, supporting flamingo conservation in Inagua. Thanks to our generous supporters, over $100,000 was raised to monitor and remove invasive species threatening flamingo nests and breeding grounds.

PIG ROAST 2020
Held just weeks before the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Pig Roast was a success, raising vital funds for restoration efforts at Lucayan National Park in Grand Bahama. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and donors, we surpassed our fundraising goal, supporting the construction of a visitor centre.
