Introducing Festival Noël’s Featured Artist: Dr. Kevin Bethel

Dr. Kevin Bethel curates a journey transcending emotion, culture, and time

November 20th, 2023 – Nassau, Bahamas

On December 1, The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) is poised to bring a night of excitement to the Grand Bahama community with its 28th Festival Noël, offering premium wine, delicious food, beautiful art, and live entertainment as part of the annual celebration.

This year, Dr. Kevin Bethel is the featured artist of the cultural event, which showcases the diverse talent of Grand Bahama creatives among its artists and vendors.

As a physician, Dr. Bethel is known within the community for the value he’s provided his clients for 30 years. As an artist, he is well-known for his oil, pastel, and watercolor paintings and prints and drawings. His art “helps us to feel the emotional emergence from the hardships of life with his focus on the effects of light, color, and temperature.”

His work is colored by his personal interpretations of places he’s traveled and souls he has met. “All my creative activity is a representation of the observed world, filtered thru me,” Dr. Bethel said.

Dr. Bethel’s work is displayed at The Wellness Gallery in Freeport, Grand Bahama. But Festival Noël patrons will have the opportunity of viewing his evocative pieces up close and personal outside the walls of a gallery at the Christmas event. As an event dedicated to celebrating art and providing a platform for cultural experience and entertainment on Grand Bahama, the BNT is honored to present Dr. Bethel as the featured artist of the 28th annual Festival Noël.

In addition to exploring the work of Dr. Bethel and other talented artists and vendors, attendees can look forward to sampling over 35 wines from around the world, courtesy of title sponsor Jimmy’s Wines & Spirits; delighting in culinary treats from Grand Bahama’s finest chefs; participating in fun games and thrilling raffles; and more.
