2021 Impact Report

2021 was a historic year for The Bahamas National Trust. In a year when the world continued to deal with the effects of a global pandemic and the intensified impacts of climate change, we focused our work on creating a more sustainable future for both people and the planet.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone that supported us in 2021 and joined our mission of managing national parks and preserving our future.

This crucial support led to many successes in 2021, such as the reveal of our new brand, which aims to propel us into the next 60 years and beyond, a successful 2 million dollar fundraising challenge initiated by The Leon Levy Foundation, and a mega collaboration with our partners to embark on the country’s largest-ever mangrove restoration project. National Parks around The Bahamas received vital upgrades, including new infrastructure and new park wardens. We launched several projects to save at-risk species such as the Queen Conch and Bahama Warbler.
