The deadline for the public review of the San Salvador National Parks Management Plan is this Friday (August 4th, 2017).
The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) in collaboration with the San Salvador Living Jewels Foundation, have been closely working with local stakeholders and partners for the development of a management plan for the San Salvador National Parks. The management plan covers five (5) sites designated in April 2015, under the mandate of the Bahamas National Trust. As part of the project entitled “Bahamas Protected: Realizing the 20 by 20 goal to effectively manage and expand Bahamian Marine Protected Areas”, involving a 3-year partnership between The Nature Conservancy, the Bahamas National Trust, and the Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation (BREEF), this final draft of the management plan is now available for public review and comments.
