Embark Your Kids on Adventures in Nature This Summer!

June 20th, 2024 – Nassau, The Bahamas
If the heat wasn’t indication enough, summer is here! In the upcoming weeks of no school, The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) has two amazing opportunities to engage your children in some of nature’s best outdoor classrooms – national parks. Our special Summer Education Programs provide exciting and educational experiences that will keep your kids both entertained and productive during their school break.
Have your kids embark on outdoor adventures with The Bahamas National Trust by enrolling them in any of our various Summer Education programs.
Summer Safari
For starters, Summer Safari is the BNT’s annual summer camp. For more than 16 years, we’ve been providing week-long activities at various national parks across The Bahamas every June and July.
This year, the program is being offered on five different islands: New Providence, Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, Andros, and Exuma. Kids explore national parks and participate in fun outdoor activities, field trips, interactive lessons, arts and crafts, and environmental experiences.
Increase your children’s wildlife knowledge; engage them in adventures in nature; and have them create lasting memories with new friends during this extraordinary summer experience!
Note that BNT members enjoy a discount on Summer Safari registration. If you’re a member, check your email for your discount code to apply at checkout.

Summer Adventures
The BNT’s Summer Adventures Program caters to groups, offering them the chance to schedule a day of learning and fun in national parks! This new initiative provides two exciting options to choose from.
Navigate through trails and trees in search of natural treasures hidden in plain sight, and experience the wonders of adaptation, mimicry, camouflage, and more with our Bush Adventure Program.
With our Snorkelling Adventure Program, participants discover a whole new underwater world, learning about the importance of tidal mangrove ecosystems and identifying sea creatures living just beneath the surface.
Both our Bush Adventure and Snorkelling Adventure Programs will be available throughout July. If you have a church, school, club, or community group you’d like to schedule for a Summer Adventure, register them online at https://www.bnt.bs/summerparkadventure/. Note that individuals also have the opportunity to participate as part of a larger group. The maximum group size is 30 persons.
This summer, take advantage of any of these amazing opportunities to have your kids explore their national parks firsthand. They’ll have a blast participating in activities that inspire learning, enjoyment, appreciation, and support of our environment. We all need nature, and nature needs us. Our Summer Education Programs help build the next generation of environmental stewards by providing enriching experiences that allow them to connect with nature in unique ways within their national parks.
Fill your kids’ summer with excitement – register them for Summer Safari and Summer Adventures now!

About the BNT:
The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) was created by an Act of Parliament in 1959 to build and manage the national park system of The Bahamas. Possibly the only non-governmental organization in the world charged with such a responsibility, the BNT works daily to conserve and protect the natural resources of The Bahamas through science, stewardship and education for present and future generations. There are currently 33 National Parks managed by the BNT with more than 2 million acres of marine and terrestrial areas protected.
