THE PARK OF THE PEOPLE

Lucayan National Park.

I'll give

Why your help is needed.

You can give the people of Grand Bahama a path to rebuild their lives. Will you give $50 to restore one plank in the Gold Rock Beach boardwalk at the Lucayan National Park? As Rudy said in the video, many in the Grand Bahama community depend on the environment to make a living. Ecotourism is vital to the island’s economy. The popularity of the Lucayan National Park and Gold Rock Beach makes it an anchor for that economy. Step by step, plank by plank, we can help the people of Grand Bahama get closer to restoring the island they call home.
Taxi Drivers who take people to the Lucayan National Park from Freeport, only need one fare per day to make a reasonable amount of money to survive.

Rebuilding the boardwalk so that visitors can access Gold Rock Beach is vital to tourism on the island. If tourism does well, it lifts the island’s economy and gives people more money to put in their pockets. The people in Grand Bahama need this money now, more than ever, to rebuild their lives.

We need 500 planks to restore access to Gold Rock Beach.  This holiday season, will you give $50 to replace one plank?

If you make a gift of $500 or more, we will engrave your name on a plank to recognize the gift you made to help people benefit from Gold Rock Beach again.
