EcoCamp 2026

About EcoCamp

EcoCamp is an eight-day environmental leadership program designed to help Bahamian youth develop a deeper appreciation for the natural environment and inspire environmental stewardship. The program is an all-expenses-paid residential camp held in Andros, where participants stay on-site for the full duration of the experience.

Through field activities, presentations, discussions, and hands-on learning experiences, participants explore Bahamian ecosystems while gaining knowledge of conservation issues, sustainable living, environmental careers, and the relationship between tourism and the environment.

Led by experienced staff from the Bahamas National Trust and Forfar Field Station, alongside guest presenters and local experts, EcoCamp introduces participants to Bahamian culture, environmental legislation, and innovative approaches to environmental management. Now in its 11th year, the program is endorsed by the Ministries of Environment, Education, and Tourism.
