Summer Science Internship Programme
The Bahamas National Trust hosts two (2) science interns each summer. APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2019 INTERNSHIP ARE CURRENTLY: CLOSED. Thank you for applying.
This programme is available only to Bahamian students in college or university who are majoring in Biology, Environmental Science, or related fields. The internship usually runs in May and June for six (6) weeks. During this internship, selected individuals will be given a chance to experience various aspects of working in the area of natural sciences in The Bahamas.
Interns are expected to learn 100 organisms (plants and animals) during the duration of the programme, travel to and assist with research on at least one (1) family island, and assist with collecting data in the national parks, along with other tasks.
Students must be self-motivated, able to work alone and on a team, have an interest in the Bahamian environment, and have an open mind.
