The BNT is a non-profit, membership organisation with statutory responsibility for the Bahamian national park system. Your active participation in our work is crucial for the success of our conservation efforts. There are many ways to get involved.
Become a BNT member and help create a strong voice for conservation. Categories include student, single, family, corporate, lifetime and support fleet memberships. Benefits include free admission to national parks and BNT facilities, a range of discounts at stores and services, invitations to BNT events, and the opportunity to participate in conservation action. To learn more, visit our membership page.
If you want to expand environmental education and build a strong voice for conservation – please support the BNT financially. You can donate any amount of money without becoming a member. Tax benefits are available for US citizens. To learn more, visit our Donations page.
Join a special-interest committee, or help organise BNT fundraising and social events. Options include the annual Art & Wine Festival and Christmas Jollification on New Providence, the Festival Noel on Grand Bahama, and the Art for the Parks event on Abaco. To learn more, visit our Committees page.
Support Fleet Membership
Boaters can donate to the BNT Support Fleet and become part of a family of dedicated sailors committed to conserving the unique beauty of the Bahamian marine environment in the Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park. Support Fleet members receive priority on the waiting list for moorings, two complimentary mooring nights at Warderick Wells or Emerald Rock, BNT newsletters and other benefits afforded to BNT members.
Corporate Membership Programme
Corporate membership helps us to increase public awareness and is an integral part of our fundraising efforts. Our Corporate Membership Programme offers two ways for companies to lend their voice to conservation in The Bahamas. In this programme, companies can invest in the BNT by becoming Membership Partners or Corporate Members.
The BNT is the country’s premier non-government environmental organization. We operate facilities on Abaco, Andros, Eleuthera, Exuma, Freeport and Inagua islands and our staff includes educators, administrators, planners, ecologists and scientists.
