Festival Noël is the original Wine & Art event for Grand Bahama and officially kicks off the island’s Christmas season. It features wine tasting, fine art and crafts by local artisans, live music from local bands, a chef competition by top restaurants and caterers, a pig roasting station, and this year’s new addition – a Cigar Bar and Lounge! This is the only fundraiser for The Bahamas National Trust on Grand Bahama, held to raise funds to support efforts in protecting the environment, and to give our members and the public an opportunity to celebrate during the holidays.
Festival Noël is held annually on the first Friday in December and is the most highly anticipated event for Grand Bahama. All proceeds from the event support the national parks on Grand Bahama island: the Rand Nature Centre, Lucayan National Park, and Peterson Cay National Park. This year, proceeds from Festival Noël will go towards the restoration of the Native & Tropical Tree Arboretum and Wildlife & Watchable Pond on the Rand Nature Centre’s property.
Festival Noël 2022’s title sponsor is Jimmy’s Wines and Spirits and this year’s featured artist is Paola-Correa De Albury.
